As South Africa’s definition for a ‘city’ is very confusing, I’ve decided to replace my former usage of ‘places’ from citypopulation.de with the ‘Urban Areas & Places’ from each province listed here: https://citypopulation.de/en/southafrica/
This should more accurately reflect the sizes of South Africa’s largest cities while remove many places that are more like boroughs.
