Now you can play live, head-to-head 2-player quizzes on hugequiz!
I’ll keep you posted on those where I’ve started implementing this game mode right here. Many will become available in the coming weeks, both Google Maps and standard, text-based quizzes.

Those that have it available will have a button on the right side before the quiz is started:
You can play the quiz normally of course – when you start typing the Head To Head button will disappear.
Upon clicking Head To Head, you’ll be able to either Create a Room or Join a Room:
The person who creates a room will be able to select from either Turn Based (players take turns answering) or Race (both players answer simultaneously without their answers counting toward the other player’s quiz). Some quizzes will only have one of the modes available.
Upon choosing an option and clicking CREATE GAME, a 6-digit code will be shown. Simply send this code to your friend and they will be able to enter the game.
They must load the same quiz on their side, click Head To Head, and then click JOIN ROOM. Then, simply enter the 6-digit code and click START to enter the room.
The two players will then be able to chat with each other and the room creator can click START QUIZ at any time to begin the quiz. For quizzes with an option before starting, such as choosing a difficultly level, sports team, US state, or some other option, the room creator must choose that option by typing it in the guess box before they are able to start the quiz.
Players now answer questions back-and-forth (pictured below) or at the same time. No time bonuses are available in Head To Head, and scores are not saved. Either player can end the quiz at any time, in case you don’t want to have the full time run out…this should be discussed via the chat during the quiz.
