Choose a level. Then, begin naming cities. All cities of 50K+ population starting with the city you chose and moving outward will begin filling in until you’ve hit a total population equal to or greater than your chosen level’s threshold. For example, if you choose ‘int’ – the threshold is 5 million. If you choose ‘quito’, then Quito will fill in and because its population is under 5 million, successive cities moving outward from Quito will fill in until the total population reaches at least 5 million. If you chose Sao Paulo, only it would fill in as its population already meets your threshold.

The squares will start with '0/5' (or maybe fewer cities if less exist in that square). Click on a square and enter the largest city in that square not yet answered (so, the largest city if you have yet to answer a city in that square). You will then have '1/5' and need to click on that square to name the 2nd largest city, and so on until you complete all the cities up to 5 (or less if less exist). If you name an incorrect city in a square it becomes 'locked' and turns red and you can no longer accumulate cities in that square.

You receive 1 point for the largest city in a square, 2 for the 2nd largest, and so on.

At the end of the quiz the largest remaining city you haven't named will be shown in each square.

South America Circle Radius Population Challenge

The object of this quiz is to adjust each circle's radius so it contains the target population shown at the right but ONLY within South America. When you click Start you will be shown a marker on a random populated South America grid square (courtesy of https://human-settlement.emergency.copernicus.eu/index.php). Also you will see an adjustable circle of radius 500 km to start. Adjust the circle's radius by dragging it until it contains the target number of people shown - this target will be between 5 and 100 million people. Then click submit. You are scored on how close your circle's population is to the target.

About balancing. Could a 2.5mil population per circle difficulty be added for non-premium users. As intermediate (5mil) is quite easy and advanced (1mil) is really hard. Is a middle ground plausible.
