Directions

You will be shown a map with red markers for all 1M+ world agglomerations. Double-click on the one specified to answer it. If you click on the correct agglo, the marker will turn green. Otherwise no change will be made to the markers. 50 randomly chosen agglos will be given. A handful of agglos have the same name as another agglo in a different country – for these the country will be specified.

Note – you may want to zoom in if agglos are close to one another to make sure you are clicking on the correct one.

World City Grid 2nd Largest City Challenge

Type 'easy' or 'hard' to begin the quiz. Easy is a 15-degree grid, hard is a 10-degree grid. Then, try to name the SECOND LARGEST city in each grid square. To name a city, you must first click on the grid square to make it have a GREEN border. Then, type in the city answer for that square followed by a '.' (a period). You are given a score from 0 to 100 based on your answer's population compared to the 2nd largest city accepted in that square (100 being you named the 2nd largest city). If you guess the largest city it will be based on the ratio of the 2nd largest city's population to the largest.

At the end of the quiz the 2nd largest city will show in each unanswered square, and for those answered the 2nd largest city will be listed next to your score if you didn't answer it.

World 50K+ City Random Grid Blackout

Type 'easy' or 'hard' to begin the quiz. Easy is a 15-degree grid, hard is a 10-degree grid. Then, name any 50K+ World city in each grid square which fits the category label for each square. Grid will be randomly placed each time the quiz is played.

LETTER: means the city starts with that letter.
NUMBER RANGE: (such as 2-5, 10+) means the city contains that many letters (excluding spaces and special characters).
POPULATION RANGE: (such as 250-500K) means the city has that range for its population.
2+ WORDS means the city name has 2 or more words (words denoted by a space or hyphen).

At the end of the quiz the largest population missed answer will show in each square.

Anyone know where the Georgetown in this quiz is referring to? Google’s being useless and saying a random U.S. town.
