Europe 10K+ Latitude Coverage Challenge

Directions

First choose a difficulty by typing ‘beg’, ‘int’, ‘adv, or ‘exp’ – Beginner is 2 degrees latitude, Intermediate 1 degrees, Advanced 0.5 degrees, and Expert 0.25 degrees. Then, enter 10K+ population cities and all 10K+ population cities within that latitude will automatically fill in.

HOWEVER – for this quiz you can enter any 10K+ city for your first choice, but successive cities must be already within a blue band for you to answer them, so you must ‘expand’ the blue area in the north and south directions, you can’t start a new blue band with a gap away from a currently blue shaded area.

hugequiz Premium members will see the 25 largest missed cities at the end of the quiz as large, purple markers.

in adv, going from south to north, it comes to a point in rovaniemi, finland, in which there are no more cities in the same latitud, so i cannot reach murmansk/vorkuta

I have the same problem. I’m pretty sure I went all the way south (including Cyprus) but I can’t get further north and is stuck on 9898/9919. I have no idea how people have scored more than that on the leaderboard.

I have the same issue. I can’t get further north than Piteå (Sweden) and further south than Birzebbuga (Malta). I’m stuck on 9858/9919 playing exp mode :/
