First choose a difficulty by typing ‘beg’, ‘int’, ‘adv, or ‘exp’ – Beginner is 10 degrees, Intermediate 5 degrees, Advanced 2.5 degrees, and Expert 1 degree. A grid of your chosen square size will be placed randomly on the map. Then, enter the largest North American city (min 10K population) in each grid square of the size based on your difficulty. Green squares contain answers.

US City Grid Blackout – Choose State

First choose a state by typing its abbreviation. A grid will then be placed over the state, larger states will generally have larger grid squares. Then, name any city from your chosen state in each grid square which fits the category label for each square.

LETTER: means the city starts with that letter.
NUMBER RANGE: (such as 2-5, 10+) means the city contains that many letters (excluding spaces and special characters).
POPULATION RANGE: (such as 50-100K) means the city has that range for its population.
2+ WORDS means the city name has 2 or more words (words denoted by a space or hyphen).

At the end of the quiz the largest population missed answer will show in each square.

for some reason when I type saint Francois it doesn’t work even though when I end the game it says that I missed that city. Might be an issue on my end idk

Just curious, how can Mackenzie County, Alberta, end up as the largest “city” in the grid? Wikipedia tells me it’s a “specialized municipality” but also that it’s almost 80 000 km^2! This reminds me of the logic by which Chonqing is officially the largest and most populous city in the world with 30 million people. It all comes down to definitions I guess.
