Challenge Chicago Geographer #11 – Closest 25K+ City Random Location Challenge
DirectionsCan you beat Chicago Geographer? CG himself takes this quiz one time and your job is to beat his score! You will have the exact same criteria for each square as he does.
The object of this quiz is to name to closest US 25K+ city to each purple marker that appears. When you begin the quiz you will be placed in a location in the 48 contiguous states (might be over a body of water, but won’t be over an ocean) which will be denoted by a purple marker. Name the closest 25K+ US city to this marker by typing in the city name followed by a ‘.’ (period). You will then be given a score up to 100 (100 being the closest 25K+ city) based on how far away your city is in relation to how far away the closest one is. You get 25 cities for a maximum of 2500 points. If you name a city that has the same name as another possible answer, don’t worry – the closest city of that name will be chosen.
⚠️ Important: You only get one official attempt. Any future plays will still work for practice, but your score will not be saved.
Quiz Takers 
I wanted to put greenfield California for the Soledad guess, but it took me to somewhere in New Jersey, which is really annoying, especially, because I have been to Soledad and Greenfield. Greenfield is closer to that location than Soledad is. Greenfield has a population of 18,937, and it felt like 25k. I feel so robbed 🙁
How would I avoid this in the future, by putting a ,ca after the guess? Cuz after finding out that greenfield didnt work, I would have put soledad, because king city doesnt have 25k for sure.
