North America 10K+ City Grid Challenge

Directions

Choose a number of cities by typing ‘3’, ‘5’, or ’10’. Then, enter the largest number of 10K+ population cities you chose in each 5-degree grid square. For example, if you choose ‘3’ you are only naming the 3 largest cities in each square. Only green squares contain answers. When you have 2 left to go in a square it will fill in faintly yellow, 1 left it will be orangish, and all done it turns red. A time bonus is given for completing a square (it is greater for higher levels).

Canada Circle Radius Population Challenge

The object of this quiz is to adjust each circle's radius so it contains the target population shown at the right. When you click Start you will be shown a marker on a random Canada dissemination area (there are over 55K dissemination areas across Canada, the smallest census tabulation area). You are scored on how close your circle's population is to the target. Circle population is tallied by totaling all census tracts (small census areas of average 4K population) within that circle.

US City Grid Blackout – Choose State

First choose a state by typing its abbreviation. A grid will then be placed over the state, larger states will generally have larger grid squares. Then, name any city from your chosen state in each grid square which fits the category label for each square.

LETTER: means the city starts with that letter.
NUMBER RANGE: (such as 2-5, 10+) means the city contains that many letters (excluding spaces and special characters).
POPULATION RANGE: (such as 50-100K) means the city has that range for its population.
2+ WORDS means the city name has 2 or more words (words denoted by a space or hyphen).

At the end of the quiz the largest population missed answer will show in each square.

im finding that almost half of my answers arent hitting, cities like cleveland and riverside

per the directions depending on the level you are only naming the few largest in each square..I added a sentence in directions explaining it more clearly.

I’m just confused as to why Cleveland isn’t one of the largest cities in its square. What is larger other than Detroit?

If you choose ‘5’ to play then Cleveland will be in that square. However there are bigger cities (think Canada) than Cleveland when you choose the ‘3’ option.
