You are scored on how close your circle's population is to the target. Circle population is tallied by totaling all census tracts (small census areas of average 4K population) within that circle.

US City Grid Blackout – Choose State

First choose a state by typing its abbreviation. A grid will then be placed over the state, larger states will generally have larger grid squares. Then, name any city from your chosen state in each grid square which fits the category label for each square.

LETTER: means the city starts with that letter.
NUMBER RANGE: (such as 2-5, 10+) means the city contains that many letters (excluding spaces and special characters).
POPULATION RANGE: (such as 50-100K) means the city has that range for its population.
2+ WORDS means the city name has 2 or more words (words denoted by a space or hyphen).

At the end of the quiz the largest population missed answer will show in each square.

The website believes that I live in the Gulf of Guinea. That would place me near zero-zero island of the classic cartoon show featuring Colonel Bleep. Unfortunately, it’s thousand of miles off.

yeah if there’s something going on with your browser not pulling the location correctly it will put you at 0,0 coordinates.
