5-Letter Word Scramble Daily Challenge
DirectionsEach day at midnight US Central Time, you’ll get a new set of 5 unique letters. Your goal is to form as many valid words as possible (from the official Scrabble word list) using only those letters. You don’t need to use all the letters, but no others are allowed.
Example (letters: abelp): valid words include peal, babble, bell, etc.
Longer words (8+ letters) earn time bonuses. Points are awarded by word length:
- 1-letter: 1 pt
- 2-letter: 2 pts
- 3-letter: 3 pts
- 4-letter: 4 pts
- 5-letter: 5 pts
- 6-letter: 7 pts
- 7-letter: 9 pts
- 8-letter: 12 pts
- 9-letter: 16 pts
- 10-letter: 20 pts
- 11-letter: 30 pts
- 12-letter: 40 pts
- 13-letter: 50 pts
The leaderboard resets daily at midnight. Before starting, you can play a previous day’s quiz by clicking on ‘Play A Previous Date’ and choosing an available date (in red) from the calendar.
Quiz Takers 
CoolBeans, you’re a cheat, plain and simple. A 684 score (significantly higher than anyone else) on 8/20 for that letter combo, on your one and only play? Yeah, I don’t think so. And the day before there was, objectively, the much easier letter combo of “eilsv” and you, inexplicably (because you would have us believe that you’re so good at this daily game), didn’t then blow every other player out of the water with your score (in fact, you didn’t even have the highest score)? No rhyme or reason.
Btw, I do play every day, CoolBeans and yampants. It’s just that my username doesn’t match with the title I use when I play a game.
And you’ll be happy to know that I’m done for good with the commenting. I’ve said my peace at various times over the last year, and now there’s nothing more to say. Plus, it’s obviously a complete waste of my time.
I thought you were done months ago? I tried the 8/20 quiz and got fairly close to the CoolBeans score. You just have a skill issue and instead of admitting it and practicing more, you complain

Hello! Is it possible to modify this so that the first words I entered don’t disappear after you have more than 3 rows’ worth?
Also, would it be possible to have an option to switch between sorting the correct words I’ve entered either by order entered, or by alphabetical order?

Great addition, since english is not my main language its also nice and tricky. Could there be a way to see the x longest words (atleast all 10+) to see where the hidden gems are?
Because the quiz is replayable I’m not going to give any answers at the end for now.
Maybe something could be added at some point to see last days answer (also maybe most given answers for example). Thanks again though! like the new games!
