Challenge The King #7 – US 2nd Largest County Grid
DirectionsCan you beat Geography King? The King himself takes this quiz one time and your job is to beat his score!
The object of this quiz is to name the SECOND largest US county (or county-equivalent) by population in each grid square. A county is in the square if the centroid of the county lies there – so it’s as if the entire county and its population is at the centroid.
To answer a county, click on the grid square you are answering and type in the county name and state abbreviation followed by a ‘.’ (period). For example, to answer Cayuga county, NY type ‘cayugany.’ – when you answer you will see a score based on how big your county’s population was to the SECOND LARGEST in the square (out of 100 – if you chose the largest it’s the percent ratio of the 2nd largest to your choice) and also Geography King’s answer and score. If only one county exists in the square, answer that county for full points.
AK and HI are not included on this quiz as often there’s just one county in each square.
⚠️ Important: Once you click START, you only get one official attempt. Any future plays will still work for practice, but your score will not be saved.

That was even tougher than I expected, but I feel good about how I did. Except for the fact that I didn’t even notice one nipping the coast of California, which I think I would have gotten.
can’t name a single county outside my state tbh
