Europe City Random Grid 1st-5th Largest City Challenge

Type 'easy' or 'hard' to begin the quiz. Easy is a 5-degree grid, hard is a 2.5-degree grid. A grid will be placed randomly on the map. Then, try to name the 1st-5th largest city in each square (min population 10K), depending on what the square label displays (so if the label says '3rd Largest' you are trying to name the 3rd largest city in that square). To name a city, you must first click on the grid square to make it have a GREEN border. Then, type in the city answer for that square followed by a '.' (a period). You are given a score from 0 to 100 based on your answer's population compared to the target city accepted in that square (100 being you named the correct city).

At the end of the quiz the target city will show in each unanswered square.

Wales City Coverage

First choose a difficulty by typing ‘beg’, ‘int’, ‘adv, or ‘exp’ – Beginner is 50km radius, Intermediate 25km, Advanced 10km, and Expert 5km. Then, enter 500+ population Wales cities and all 500+ population Wales cities within that radius will automatically fill in.

hugequiz Premium members will see the 25 largest missed cities at the end of the quiz as large, purple markers.

Premium members can now also play a 3-hour time limit 'custom' coverage quiz of any distance from 5km to 100km, simply enter the distance followed by a '.' instead of choosing from one of the four levels, i.e. '35.' Quiz score is not recorded for the custom coverage option.

UK City Grid 3rd Largest City Challenge

To name a city, you must first click on the grid square to make it have a GREEN border. Then, type in the city answer for that square followed by a '.' (a period). You are given a score from 0 to 100 based on your answer's population compared to the 3rd largest city accepted in that square (100 being you named the 3rd largest city). If you guess the largest city it will be based on the ratio of the 3rd largest city's population to the largest.

At the end of the quiz the 3rd largest city will show in each unanswered square, and for those answered the 3rd largest city will be listed next to your score if you didn't answer it.

I am confused about the absence of cities like Tirana and Lyon which should be in this list based on population.

Great quiz but way too little time. 6 seconds per city is just not enough to zoom out, zoom in and search.

I don’t think cities like Chelyabinsk belong to Europe as they are east the Ural mountains

It’s a judgment call – they are very close, and other popular quiz sites use them as part of Europe.

it seems to give 99 instead of 100 even when distance is 0 km, is that on purpose?

also when the time went to 0 it shows 0:-1 says Finish all cities to submit score and the quiz doesn’t end
