Fill in the 225 squares with 10K+ European cities based on the categories in the top row and the geographical location given in the cell. For example, if you are looking at a cell with ‘Netherlands’ in its row, and ‘2+ Words’ in the column, that cell can be filled in with ‘The Hague.’

Occasionally a cell may not have a qualifying answer, in which case it will appear blank and be a gimme.

For this quiz, Balkans includes the entire countries of Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia & the European portion of Turkey. Nordic refers to Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

The object of this quiz is to adjust each circle's radius so it contains the target population shown at the right. When you click Start you will be shown a marker on a random UK output area (there are over 200K output areas - also called Data Zones in Scotland and N Ireland - across the UK, the smallest census tabulation area). NUMBER RANGE: (such as 2-5, 10+) means the city contains that many letters (excluding spaces and special characters).
POPULATION RANGE: (such as 250-500K) means the city has that range for its population.
2+ WORDS means the city name has 2 or more words (words denoted by a space or hyphen).

At the end of the quiz the largest population missed answer will show in each range.

Yes but all cities must be at least 10K population.

Valletta (in Malta) does not fit South of 40 latitude capitals, presumably because it’s not a 10K city
