Europe Closest Non-Bordering Countries
DirectionsName the 50 pairs of non-bordering (water borders excluded) European countries which have the shortest distance between them (based on closest distance from one country’s land to the other’s). Use country names (some abbreviations accepted) in either order to answer, i.e. ‘UKIreland’ or ‘IrelandUK’ (not accepted as they border). Dependent territories are included as part of the country of which they are part of, name the country not dependent territory.

Russia and Turkey? Should not count. The fact that only 6% guessed it indicates that it is false. Turkey is not Europe. The same with Turkey and Cyprus.

Also, how is France-Netherlands not on the list? There’s like 50-60km across the belgian coast. Do you count them as bordering countries because of overseas territories?
They share a border in the carribean.
How are the Netherlands and UK this close to each other? I don’t see how there can be only 12km between both
Again, in the Caribbean. Anguilla is about 12km from Sint-Maarten.
