First choose a difficulty by typing ‘beg’, ‘int’, ‘adv, or ‘exp’ – Beginner is 5 degrees, Intermediate 2.5 degrees, Advanced 1 degrees, and Expert 0.5 degrees. Then, enter the largest city in each grid square of the size based on your difficulty. Green squares contain answers. Adv and Exp levels may take a few moments to load.

US City Grid Blackout – Choose State

First choose a state by typing its abbreviation. A grid will then be placed over the state, larger states will generally have larger grid squares. Then, name any city from your chosen state in each grid square which fits the category label for each square.

LETTER: means the city starts with that letter.
NUMBER RANGE: (such as 2-5, 10+) means the city contains that many letters (excluding spaces and special characters).
POPULATION RANGE: (such as 50-100K) means the city has that range for its population.
2+ WORDS means the city name has 2 or more words (words denoted by a space or hyphen).

At the end of the quiz the largest population missed answer will show in each square.

When I ended an untimed int quiz, the results never displayed and I was left instead with the message “Calculating stats…”

What is supposed to go into the Alabama Square on Beginner? Its neither Birmingham nor Atlanta, Montgomery, Mobile, Tallahassee, Auburn, Tuscaloosa, Hoover, Huntsville, Pensacola….???
