Directions

First choose a difficulty by typing ‘beg’, ‘int’, ‘adv, or ‘exp’ – Beginner is 100km radius, Intermediate 50km, Advanced 25km, and Expert 10km. Then, Japanese cities and all Japanese cities within that radius will automatically fill in.

hugequiz Premium members will see the 25 largest missed cities at the end of the quiz as large, purple markers.

Premium members can now also play a 3-hour time limit ‘custom’ coverage quiz of any distance from 5km to 200km, simply enter the distance followed by a ‘.’ instead of choosing from one of the four levels, i.e. ’35.’ Quiz score is not recorded for the custom coverage option.

Asia Closest 250K+ City Random Location Challenge

The object of this quiz is to name to closest Asian 250K+ city to each purple marker that appears. When you begin the quiz you will be placed in a random location in Asia which will be denoted by a purple marker. Name the closest 250K+ Asian city to this marker by typing in the city name followed by a '.' (period). You will then be given a score up to 100 (100 being the closest 250K+ city) based on how far away your city is in relation to how far away the closest one is. You get 25 cities for a maximum of 2500 points. If you name a city that has the same name as another possible answer, don't worry - the closest city of that name will be chosen.

Asia Circle Radius Population Challenge

The object of this quiz is to adjust each circle's radius so it contains the target population shown at the right but ONLY within Asia. When you click Start you will be shown a marker on a random populated Asia grid square (courtesy of https://human-settlement.emergency.copernicus.eu/index.php). Also you will see an adjustable circle of radius 500 km to start. Adjust the circle's radius by dragging it until it contains the target number of people shown - this target will be between 25 and 500 million people. Then click submit. You are scored on how close your circle's population is to the target.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL of Turkey is included in counting population (not just Asian portion) and Russia anywhere EAST of 61 degrees longitude (just east of Chelyabinsk).

First choose the number of cities by typing ‘50’, ‘100’, or ‘all’ – then try to achieve the highest population among the largest South Korean cities (called 'urban areas' or 'towns') you chose. Quiz is not timed.

Im getting 1717/1719, missing one each in the 1-2.5K range and less than 1K range. Can’t seem to figure out whats missing, I am covering everything even as far as Yonaguni in the Ryukyu Islands and Ogasawara down south.
