Begin by choosing any decade since from 1900 thru 2010 by type the first year of the decade (i.e. ‘1950’ or ‘2000’) – the object of this quiz is to match a player whose career started in that decade to the Baseball Reference stats (either Standard Batting or Standard Pitching). You will be given 25 different stat tables, batting for non-pitchers and pitching for pitchers. Try to name the player. You get 15 minutes to complete all 25 players. Batters will have a minimum of 500 career hits, pitchers a minimum of 250 IP. You can scroll in the window with the stats if you can’t see the full width of the table (the far-right column is ‘Awards’).
