Fill in the 100 squares with Nordic cities based on the categories in the top row and the state given in the cell. For example, if you are looking at a cell with ‘Sweden’ in its row, and ‘Starts With M’ in the column, that cell can be filled in with ‘Malmo.’

Nordic cities refers to cities in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. Does NOT included Greenland, Jan Mayen or Svalbard.

Occasionally a cell may not have a qualifying answer, in which case it will appear blank and be a gimme.

Europe 10K+ City Grid Blackout Largest City Challenge

Type 'easy' or 'hard' to begin the quiz. Easy is a 5-degree grid, hard is a 2.5-degree grid. Then, try to name the LARGEST European city in each grid square which fits the category label for each square. To name a city, you must first click on the grid square to make it have a GREEN border. Then, type in the city answer for that square followed by a '.' (a period). You are given a score from 0 to 100 based on your answer's population compared to the largest city accepted in that square (100 being you named the largest city).

LETTER: means the city starts with that letter.
NUMBER RANGE: (such as 2-5, 10+) means the city contains that many letters (excluding spaces and special characters).
POPULATION RANGE: (such as 50-100K) means the city has that range for its population.
2+ WORDS means the city name has 2 or more words (words denoted by a space or hyphen).

At the end of the quiz the largest population missed answer will show in each unanswered square, and for those answered the largest city will be listed if you didn't answer it.

UK Circle Radius Population Challenge

The object of this quiz is to adjust each circle's radius so it contains the target population shown at the right. When you click Start you will be shown a marker on a random UK output area (there are over 200K output areas - also called Data Zones in Scotland and N Ireland - across the UK, the smallest census tabulation area). Also you will see an adjustable circle of radius 100 km to start. Adjust the circle's radius by dragging it until it contains the target number of people shown - this target will be between 25K and 5 million people. Then click submit. You are scored on how close your circle's population is to the target. Circle population is tallied by totaling all output areas within that circle.

NOTE - This quiz does NOT include any people in Ireland or other countries outside the UK, you are only trying to total the target number of people within the UK.

Are there any reason Longyearbyen doesn’t work for “Ends with N” and “North of 65”? I might be missing something but it seems to me like it should work.

Forgot to add in description, not including Greenland, Jan Mayen or Svalbard. Will add that.
