The object of this quiz is to pick a 10K+ North American city to start, then name successive 10K+ North American cities such that the next city’s first letter is the last letter of the current city and the next city is as close to the current city as possible. On this quiz alternates are generally accepted, however only the main (usually official) name is counted as it relates to naming the next city. Cities of the same name will answer the closest city first. NOTE: You must type a ‘.’ (period) after the city to submit it. Cities must be a minimum of 10k population. The same city cannot be used twice in this quiz.

For example, you start with ‘Houston’ – you are now trying to name a city starting with ‘N’ (the last letter of ‘Houston’) which is closest to Houston. If you answer ‘New Braunfels.’ – now you are trying to name the closest city to New Braunfels which starts with a ‘S’ and so on.

The quiz ends at the 25th city from the starting one. You get 100 points for naming the closest city on each step, and they decline based on the distance your city was from the closest.
