First choose a difficulty by typing ‘beg’, ‘int’, ‘adv, or ‘exp’ – Beginner is 0.25 degree longitude, Intermediate 0.1 degrees, Advanced 0.05 degrees, and Expert 0.025 degrees. Then, enter 1K+ population UK cities and all 1K+ population UK cities within that longitude will automatically fill in.

UK Circle Radius Population Challenge

The object of this quiz is to adjust each circle's radius so it contains the target population shown at the right. When you click Start you will be shown a marker on a random UK output area (there are over 200K output areas - also called Data Zones in Scotland and N Ireland - across the UK, the smallest census tabulation area). Also you will see an adjustable circle of radius 100 km to start. 2+ WORDS means the city name has 2 or more words (words denoted by a space or hyphen).
