Directions

First choose any state by typing its abbreviation. Then, enter cities and all cities within a radius based on the population of the city you guessed will fill in.

Circles will be larger for AK and smaller for smaller Northeast states. Otherwise they will be the same from state to state based on the city’s population.

First choose any state to start the quiz. The largest city in that state will be shown on the map along with its population. Enter that city to move on to the next largest city. Answering incorrectly will not end the quiz, you'll just have to clear your answer and try again. Try to name as many cities in 5 minutes as you can.

Type 'easy' or 'hard' to begin the quiz. Easy is a 5-degree grid, hard is a 2.5-degree grid. Then, try to name the LARGEST city in each grid square which fits the category label for each square. Grid squares are placed randomly each time the quiz is played. To name a city, you must first click on the grid square to make it have a GREEN border. Then, type in the city answer for that square followed by a '.' (a period). You are given a score from 0 to 100 based on your answer's population compared to the largest city accepted in that square (100 being you named the largest city).

fyi i reset the NY scores and made it a little bit tougher, the NYC circle took up almost the whole state 🙂
