US States Population Sorting Challenge – Difficult

Directions

You begin with two states shown in the grid. Upon starting, your job is to sort the states in order from largest to smallest by total population. The order is represented by the ‘1st’ thru ’25th’ in each box. You can click on a state to move it to a higher position in the list – simply click once and it will turn red, then clicked another higher-ranked state to position the first state before it. Click submit to check your answers…if they are in order you will get a new state added to the end which needs to be positioned correctly, and so on until you either get one wrong or complete all 15 levels.

You are scored on how close your circle's population is to the target. Circle population is tallied by totaling all census tracts (small census areas of average 4K population) within that circle.

US City Grid Blackout – Choose State

First choose a state by typing its abbreviation. A grid will then be placed over the state, larger states will generally have larger grid squares. Then, name any city from your chosen state in each grid square which fits the category label for each square.

LETTER: means the city starts with that letter.
NUMBER RANGE: (such as 2-5, 10+) means the city contains that many letters (excluding spaces and special characters).
POPULATION RANGE: (such as 50-100K) means the city has that range for its population.
2+ WORDS means the city name has 2 or more words (words denoted by a space or hyphen).

At the end of the quiz the largest population missed answer will show in each square.
