Type 'easy' or 'hard' to begin the quiz. Easy is a 15-degree grid, hard is a 10-degree grid. Then, try to name the SECOND LARGEST city in each grid square. To name a city, you must first click on the grid square to make it have a GREEN border. Then, type in the city answer for that square followed by a '.' (a period). You are given a score from 0 to 100 based on your answer's population compared to the 2nd largest city accepted in that square (100 being you named the 2nd largest city). If you guess the largest city it will be based on the ratio of the 2nd largest city's population to the largest.
At the end of the quiz the 2nd largest city will show in each unanswered square, and for those answered the 2nd largest city will be listed next to your score if you didn't answer it.
Tracking country completion doesn’t seem to be working right now.
Probably double tracking some things, I have gotten all 5m+ cities with an A, but it shows just 4/8
Hmm I would reload the quiz – there are only 4 cities of 5M+ with an A and that’s what it’s showing on my side.
How is the capital of Oman spelt in this quiz?
Muscat city proper is actually under 50K. The urban area is much larger, but my city quizzes use city proper.
You really need to accept more alternate spellings.
Let me know which to add and I’ll try to include them.
Every letter has several cities with alternate spellings. One example is Hosakote. Google maps and Wikipedia spell this as Hoskote. The only place I find it spelled with an a is in my missed answers on this quiz. There are too many to list for every letter of the alphabet.
I’ve tried Dhashta Hawlir/Desta Hewlere/Desti Hewler/Dashty Hawler/Bnaslawa/Bensalawah/Binesillawe and none of them work for the 58,214 city in Iraq.
Fixed – under Dhashta Hawlir now.
Thank you!!! What was it under before? And what was Daretu? I still have the quiz open with only those two cities remaining so I don’t want to refresh it haha.
