World Google Street View Challenge (Large Cities)

You will be given a Google Street View window randomly placed near the center of a 1M+ population world city in which you can move around in. Name the world city where you are located within two minutes. The faster you answer, the more points you get. Max points is 100 for guessing in 10 seconds or less. Keep in mind Google Street View does not cover a good portion of the globe so only covered cities can be shown. You will not get more than 2 India or 2 China cities.

World City Grid Blackout Largest City Challenge

Type 'easy' or 'hard' to begin the quiz. Easy is a 15-degree grid, hard is a 10-degree grid. Then, try to name the LARGEST city in each grid square which fits the category label for each square. To name a city, you must first click on the grid square to make it have a GREEN border. Then, type in the city answer for that square followed by a '.' (a period). You are given a score from 0 to 100 based on your answer's population compared to the largest city accepted in that square (100 being you named the largest city).

LETTER: means the city starts with that letter.
NUMBER RANGE: (such as 2-5, 10+) means the city contains that many letters (excluding spaces and special characters).
POPULATION RANGE: (such as 50-100K) means the city has that range for its population.
2+ WORDS means the city name has 2 or more words (words denoted by a space or hyphen).

At the end of the quiz the largest population missed answer will show in each unanswered square, and for those answered the largest city will be listed if you didn't answer it.

World Circle Population Selection Challenge

The object of this quiz is to click on the circle containing the largest population. When you begin you'll be shown 2 circles with radii between 100 and 2500 km on the map which do not intersect. Click on the one with the larger population within it (based world population density info) then 'Submit' - if you are correct you'll move on. One incorrect round and the quiz is over. Every 5 rounds the number of circles on the map will increase by 1. Try to build the longest streak of correct circles. Circles displayed will always be non-intersecting.

World Grid Population Challenge

First choose a grid size by typing '30', '20', or '10'. A grid of that size lat/long will be placed on the map (so if you choose '20' the grid width and height will be 20 degrees). Then, double click on the grid square with the highest population within it (based on world 10km x 10km population density estimates). The highest-population remaining square will give you 100 points, all the way down to 0 for the one with the smallest population. Try to obtain the most points by successively double-clicking on the highest-populated grid square.

The scoring doesn’t take into account pausing the game. I paused the game for a long time, and when I came back I got a negative score of -1500

Hmm Pyong Yang is also missing in action I assume 😉

as of now, China and India have very limited street view coverage, so you may not see much if any from those two countries on this quiz.
