NATO Largest Cities
DirectionsFirst choose the number of cities by typing ‘100’, ‘250’, ‘500’, ‘1k’, or ‘all’ – then try to achieve the highest population among 50K+ cities within NATO member states including dependencies. Cities must also must be north of the Tropic of Cancer (NATO’s ‘Area of Responsibility’).

All these countries (including Turkey) have data going down to at least 10k (N America and Europe quizzes are 10k, while Turkey also has enough data iirc)

Yeah keeping this one in line with the world data as it pulls data from that data set.
I’d like to see the World quizzes go down to 25k if at all possible. Also, if you want a 10k+ version of this, you could always make a Custom Quiz.

How do you spell the name of the city in the Azores?
The city is Ponta Delgada, there’s no other name for it. But the city is nowhere near 108k so I think the quiz is pointing to some other city.
Ponta Delgada is on Madeira. That’s Funchal in the Azores.
You’ve swapped both archipelago’s capitals. I’ve also made a mistake assuming the marker was really in the Azores. As a Portuguese shame on me. lol Ok… the Azores are not featured in this quiz as its largest city, Ponta Delgada, falls short of 50k which I think is the threshold for this quiz. The city Ovamiat is questioning is indeed Funchal and it’s located in the Madeira Island.

Actually no, Honolulu is 21.3 North, a bit south of the Tropic of Cancer.
In fact, an attack on Hawaii wouldn’t activate Article 5… which is dumb as an attack on Hawaii led to the creation of NATO in the first place!

1 1/2% of the United States population is NOT covered by the protection provided by Article Five: Both Hawaii (1.5 million) and Puerto Rico (3.5 million plus) are South of 23.5 degrees North Latitude. That’s over 5 million Americans who aren’t protected by Article Five.
THIS MUST CHANGE.
As it stands, Putin could attack Honolulu or San Juan and not worry about the rest of NATO*.
* — Except for the UK, in the case of San Juan, as the British Virgin Islands are nearby.
