US Cities 10×10 Blackout – Choose State

Directions

First choose any state by typing its abbreviation (i.e. ‘CA’). Then, fill in the 100 squares with cities from that state based on the categories in the top row and the first letter or geographical location given in the cell. For example, if you have chosen ‘CA’ and are looking at a cell with ‘S’ in its row, and ‘2+ Words’ in the column, that cell can be filled in with ‘San Jose.’

The regions ‘Northern 1/4’, ‘Southern 1/4’, ‘Western 1/4’ and ‘Eastern 1/4’ refer to the that portion of the state based on its extreme latitude and longitudes. So if a state has a latitude range of 30 to 36, the ‘Northern 1/4’ refers to cities in the range of 34.5-36 degrees latitude, and the ‘Southern 1/4’ refers to cities in the range of 30-31.5 latitude.

Occasionally a cell may not have a qualifying answer, in which case it will appear blank and be a gimme.

hugequiz Premium members will see missed answers in red – they will be the largest city which qualified in each cell.

Enter state abbreviation (i.e. 'FL') to begin.

also there should be a category for central, i.e. cities not in the extreme quarters
