Type “start” to begin. You will be given a word to type right beneath the typing box. Type the word as fast as you can – when completed the word will change. You begin with words of length 4, then move up to 5-letter words, then 6, and so on. Try to complete as many words in one minute as you can. You are scored based on the total letters typed in completed words.

Words are selected from the Corpus of Contemporary English 60K most frequently used words list and may contain non-dictionary words.

5-Letter Word Scramble Daily Challenge

Each day at midnight US Central Time, you'll get a new set of 5 unique letters. Your goal is to form as many valid words as possible (from the official Scrabble word list) using only those letters. You don't need to use all the letters, but no others are allowed.

Example (letters: abelp): valid words include peal, babble, bell, etc.

Longer words (8+ letters) earn time bonuses. Points are awarded by word length:

1-letter: 1 pt

2-letter: 2 pts

3-letter: 3 pts

4-letter: 4 pts

5-letter: 5 pts

6-letter: 7 pts

7-letter: 9 pts

8-letter: 12 pts

9-letter: 16 pts

10-letter: 20 pts

11-letter: 30 pts

12-letter: 40 pts

13-letter: 50 pts
