In this quiz you are attempting to guess a 6-letter word. All 6-letter words in the top 10,000 English words are valid answers (about 1400 different answers).

Begin by entering any valid 6-letter word (valid means on the TWL scrabble word list) followed by a ‘.’ to submit it – if it doesn’t take that means it’s not a valid 6-letter word. Then, you will be shown that word with each letter color-coded. If the letter is WHITE it does not occur in the answer. If it is YELLOW, it does occur but in a different place. If it is GREEN it is in the correct place. You get 7 guesses to try to come up with 5 different words. Points are as follows:
1-2 guesses: 75pts
3 guesses: 50 pts
4 guesses: 40 pts
5 guesses: 30 pts
6 guesses: 20 pts
7 guesses: 10 pts

Each day at midnight US Central Time, you'll get a new set of 5 unique letters. Your goal is to form as many valid words as possible (from the official Scrabble word list) using only those letters. You don't need to use all the letters, but no others are allowed.

Example (letters: abelp): valid words include peal, babble, bell, etc.

Longer words (8+ letters) earn time bonuses. Points are awarded by word length:

1-letter: 1 pt

2-letter: 2 pts

3-letter: 3 pts

4-letter: 4 pts

5-letter: 5 pts

6-letter: 7 pts

7-letter: 9 pts

8-letter: 12 pts

9-letter: 16 pts

10-letter: 20 pts

11-letter: 30 pts

12-letter: 40 pts

13-letter: 50 pts
