Canada City Coverage
DirectionsFirst choose a difficulty by typing ‘beg’, ‘int’, ‘adv, or ‘exp’ – Beginner is 200km radius, Intermediate 100km, Advanced 50km, and Expert 25km. Then, enter Canadian cities/towns and all other Canadian cities/towns within that radius will automatically fill in.
hugequiz Premium members will see the 25 largest missed cities at the end of the quiz as large, purple markers.
Canada has a number of different types of municipalities (i.e. cities, regional municipalities, improvement districts) – not all are included on this quiz.
Premium members can now also play a 3-hour time limit ‘custom’ coverage quiz of any distance from 10km to 500km, simply enter the distance followed by a ‘.’ instead of choosing from one of the four levels, i.e. ‘350.’ Quiz score is not recorded for the custom coverage option.
Lack of Coutts makes southern Alberta a little difficult.
no sydney, north sydney, sydney mines, even? cape breton getting the cold shoulder i see
I believe they are no longer classified as cities but rather communities or something.
Antigonish will get you there
took me a while but i got it all figured out, thx
Apparently the whole island is under “cape breton” now rather than the individual communities
All of Cape Breton got united under a single municipality.
No Fort Mc Murray ?
it’s a regional municipality and those aren’t included. use Wood Buffalo
But Wood Buffalo *is* a regional Municipality.
I think it’s classified as a Commune though as well
Are Sydney and Sudbury not officially cities?
I was able to get Sudbury by using “Greater Sudbury”. I noticed adding “greater” to a few places made them work; such as “Napanee”
Will fix so just the name without “greater” works too
Fort McMurray in Alberta doesn’t work
it’s an urban service area, that type of municipality isn’t included in my Canada city quizzes
have to use wood buffalo
