Longer words (8+ letters) earn time bonuses. Points are awarded by word length:

1-letter: 1 pt

2-letter: 2 pts

3-letter: 3 pts

4-letter: 4 pts

5-letter: 5 pts

6-letter: 7 pts

7-letter: 9 pts

8-letter: 12 pts

9-letter: 16 pts

10-letter: 20 pts

11-letter: 30 pts

12-letter: 40 pts

FYI there may be some words you expected to see here, such as ‘bear’ or ‘recess’ – keep in mind the definition of homograph can vary in terms of how strict it is, the source was more strict in its definition…http://minimal.marlodge.net/graph.html
