Upon clicking START you will be presented with a 5×5 table of Europe 100K+ cities. The object of the quiz is to double-click on the cities in order from easternmost to westernmost.

Double-click on a city’s text and it will be selected and you will get a score. 100 points corresponds to the easternmost city, 0 points to the farthest west – score decreases based on how eastern your selected city is in relation to all of the remaining cities.

You will only get a maximum of 2 cities in the same country.

Type 'easy' or 'hard' to begin the quiz. Easy is a 5-degree grid, hard is a 2.5-degree grid. Then, try to name the LARGEST European city in each grid square which fits the category label for each square. To name a city, you must first click on the grid square to make it have a GREEN border. Then, type in the city answer for that square followed by a '.' (a period). You are given a score from 0 to 100 based on your answer's population compared to the largest city accepted in that square (100 being you named the largest city).

LETTER: means the city starts with that letter.
NUMBER RANGE: (such as 2-5, 10+) means the city contains that many letters (excluding spaces and special characters).
POPULATION RANGE: (such as 50-100K) means the city has that range for its population.

UK Circle Radius Population Challenge

The object of this quiz is to adjust each circle's radius so it contains the target population shown at the right. When you click Start you will be shown a marker on a random UK output area (there are over 200K output areas - also called Data Zones in Scotland and N Ireland - across the UK, the smallest census tabulation area). Also you will see an adjustable circle of radius 100 km to start. Adjust the circle's radius by dragging it until it contains the target number of people shown - this target will be between 25K and 5 million people. Then click submit. You are scored on how close your circle's population is to the target. Circle population is tallied by totaling all output areas within that circle.

NOTE - This quiz does NOT include any people in Ireland or other countries outside the UK, you are only trying to total the target number of people within the UK.

It seems, there is always one city from Asian part of Europe (most eastern one), which gives 0 points, the rest works well.

I started the quiz with Nizhny Tagil, which was by far the easternmost city on the table, but got 0 points for it. All the other cities seemed to work properly with right scores.

what browser are you using by chance? this is a rare bug affecting some people. I’d recommend Chrome until I can figure it out. also try refreshing the quiz and holding CTRL when clicking refresh and seeing if that fixes it.

I was actually using Chrome. And it was the first time I tried this quiz. Two new attempts (without holding CTRL though) went without any problems.
