You begin with two European or US cities shown in the grid. Upon starting, your job is to sort the cities in order from largest to smallest by population (CITY PROPER population, not the metro area). The order is represented by the '1st' thru '16th' in each box. most Luxembourg cities have the marker placed somewhere in the forest

there are still some smaller Finnish cities (like Sipoo) where the marker is located in the middle of the forest (because it’s in the geographic center of the municipality rather than the actual population center)
