Type 'easy' or 'hard' to begin the quiz. Easy is a 15-degree grid, hard is a 10-degree grid. Then, try to name the LARGEST city in each grid square which fits the category label for each square. To name a city, you must first click on the grid square to make it have a GREEN border. Then, type in the city answer for that square followed by a '.' (a period). You are given a score from 0 to 100 based on your answer's population compared to the largest city accepted in that square (100 being you named the largest city).
LETTER: means the city starts with that letter.
NUMBER RANGE: (such as 2-5, 10+) means the city contains that many letters (excluding spaces and special characters).
POPULATION RANGE: (such as 50-100K) means the city has that range for its population.
2+ WORDS means the city name has 2 or more words (words denoted by a space or hyphen).
At the end of the quiz the largest population missed answer will show in each unanswered square, and for those answered the largest city will be listed if you didn't answer it.
137 and im quite satisfied. Nice one!
It’s frustrating how it’s down to chance. I know where Andorra, Luxembourg, and Lichtenstein are in relation to each other, but I need Spain, France, and Germany already to get them placed right. They don’t have unique geography that makes them stand out like Qatar is the “middle finger” going up into the body of water & Bahrain is the island next to it. I’m pretty happy that I know what continent every country goes to & I know at least the general region of all the islands. Some are so tiny I have to use my Apple Pencil to click them properly.
Second time through and it didn’t recognize the DRC. Kinda hard to miss that one.Bug?
I just tested it and it detected it fine.
its either monaco or san marino that gets me
this is really hard and I know every country in the world and I only got 161 I tried 🙁
Other geo games websites are better, but this is soo good, lots of games.
Same I Know Every Country i watch jsag
This one is very challenging…took me probably around hundred tries to finally get it without mistake. Along with perfect score and ruined life im taking with myself new fears of Burundi, E-Swatini and Bhutan. Thx admin 🙂
Nothing ruined! You were learning! 🙂
You may want to consider adding a pass option. Some countries are practically impossible to pinpoint unless another country has already been added.
Yeah but that’s part of the challenge I want – so if you get stuck with a country like that it makes it particularly difficult. I don’t want to be able to guess the easier countries and come back to a smaller one when it’s easier to guess.
There’s a big difference between hard and impossible. The Vatican and San Marino are impossible to get without Italy already being selected. Liechtenstein is another one that’s impossible. You highlight islands. They would be easier to get unhighlighted than the 3 microcountries listed above.
You can zoom in really far, that helps especially on the Vatican case. Others you have to at least know where some big city is nearby and then take a guess, like Dornbirn or St. Gallen on Liechtenstein or Rimini on San Marino
Vatican and San Marino are not too difficult at all, you can simply zoom in enough on Rome and know where the Vatican is in relation to it…you can even see St Peters clearly on a zoomed in view..same with learning where San Marino is based on the surroundings.
That doesn’t seem to work if you’ve already had Italy – at least for me in that case you’re just zooming in on green.
Vatican is easy…zoom in in Rome and look for Saint Peters’s square!
Seems like it’s mostly based on luck
There’s an element of luck (Andorra is easy if you already have both Spain and France, and very hard otherwise) but mostly it’s triangulating from coastlines and natural boundaries like rivers.
