I think it’s hilarious that when you finish Alberta, the voice says Albania completed! :))
I always find it funny how Sidney, BC has an actual fair sized town centre, but is considered smaller than places with little to no town centre, like Central Saanich, which sort of has Saanichton and Brentwood as mini-town centres, but both are much smaller than Sidney. But, I guess it all depends how the municipalities are divided.
Brentwood Bay.
I just realized that North Cowichan doesn’t even include the city of Duncan, but does include the towns of Chemainus and Crofton. IMO, It’s not really accurate to call this quiz “Largest Cities Canada”.
Yeah Canada has a lot of different types of localities, like over 20 i think.
Actually, North Cowichan does include part of Duncan. Funny how the dividing border cuts right through the middle of the town.
Argh! Too bad Duncan isn’t accepted for North Cowichan and Sherwood Park isn’t accepted for Strathcona County. I did type Strathcona, but forgot the County park. Plus, I typed Chatham, Rockland, and Strathroy without knowing there was more to them.
Cape Breton is not a city but an island. The largest city on that island is Sydney
it’s treated as a Commune by the census which qualifies for a city quiz.
53… not terrible for an American 😉
On the 1k version, what is the community of 1,926 on the northern tip of Great Slave Lake? Nothing I have found works.
What is that red dot in the northeast of Alberta (Population 65,565) supposed to be? There’s no places up in that area other than Fort McMurray, and that sure as hell isn’t the answer.
Wood Buffalo (a specialized municipality)
Damn, I sounded a bit rude when asking that question about Fort McMurray/Wood Buffalo, years ago. To really drive a Canadian stereotype home, sorry about that, eh.
>Fort McMurray
>hell
Too soon, man. Too soon.
In theory I should be good at this quiz.
