Europe 10K+ Cities Top 5 Blackout (Premium Only)

Fill in the 25 squares with the top five (in terms of population, or less if less than 5 qualify) 10K+ European cities based on the categories in the top row and the geographical location given in the cell. For example, if you are looking at a cell with ‘Netherlands’ in its row, and ‘2+ Words’ in the column, that cell can be filled in with ‘The Hague.’ as it is one of the 5 largest 2+ Words cities in the Netherlands. When a cell is completed it fills in green.

For this quiz, Balkans includes the entire countries of Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia & the European portion of Turkey. Nordic refers to Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

Occasionally a cell may not have any qualifying answer, in which case it will be filled in bright green and be a gimme. Cells will get progressively greener until all 5 (or less if less than 5 qualify) are answered. Some cells with less than 5 valid answers will start with a green shade corresponding to how many answers are left.

UK Circle Radius Population Challenge

When you click Start you will be shown a marker on a random UK output area (there are over 200K output areas - also called Data Zones in Scotland and N Ireland - across the UK, the smallest census tabulation area). POPULATION RANGE: (such as 250-500K) means the city has that range for its population.
2+ WORDS means the city name has 2 or more words (words denoted by a space or hyphen).

At the end of the quiz the largest population missed answer will show in each range.

is it normal ‘porto’ does not qualify for a cell ‘west of 0 longitude’ and ‘2-5 letters’?

It needs to be in the 5 largest cities that meet the criteria for that cell. There are larger 2-5 letter cities west of 0 longitude.
