Europe Farthest Apart Pairs Of 50K+ Cities By Country

Directions

For each country name the pair of cities in that country that each are 50K+ population and are the farthest apart. To answer enter the two cities in either order, i.e. ‘ParisMarseille’ or ‘MarseilleParis’. For Russia/Turkey the two cities must both be within the European portions of each country.

UK Circle Radius Population Challenge

The object of this quiz is to adjust each circle's radius so it contains the target population shown at the right. When you click Start you will be shown a marker on a random UK output area (there are over 200K output areas - also called Data Zones in Scotland and N Ireland - across the UK, the smallest census tabulation area). Also you will see an adjustable circle of radius 100 km to start. Adjust the circle's radius by dragging it until it contains the target number of people shown - this target will be between 25K and 5 million people. Then click submit. You are scored on how close your circle's population is to the target. Circle population is tallied by totaling all output areas within that circle.

NOTE - This quiz does NOT include any people in Ireland or other countries outside the UK, you are only trying to total the target number of people within the UK.

also shouldn’t Norway be Tromso instead of Trondheim?

Tromso settlement (not municipality) is just under 50K.
