You begin with two Europe countries/US states shown in the grid. Upon starting, your job is to sort the countries/states in order from largest to smallest by max elevation (so countries/states with the highest max elevation first). The order is represented by the '1st' thru '16th' in each box. You can click on a country/state to move it to a higher position in the list - simply click once and it will turn red, then clicked another higher-ranked country/state to position the first country/state before it. Click submit to check your answers...if they are in order you will get a new country/state added to the end which needs to be positioned correctly, and so on until you either get one wrong or complete all 15 levels.
PLEASE NOTE: Only the portions of each country geographically in Europe are counted to determine the highest points. So no Asian portion of Turkey/Russia, African portion of Spain/Portugal, Greenland, etc.

I’ve doubled the time on this quiz 🙂
Love this one! Although I hate to think how many exurbs will be added if the data gets updated…
This is a tough one. Is there a quiz like this that doesn’t have the 25 mile stipulation? Like a US-All Places-Choose Population. I saw the one for the individual states, but not for the entire country.
Closest would be this where you can choose how many cities:

…and finally, somebody clears Miami (and FORTY-SEVEN other Florida cities)!
This quiz could use an update with the most recent population data. Odessa, TX is listed as under 100,000 on this quiz, for example.
can you please do this same quiz with unlimited time?
then it just becomes naming all cities and taking as long as you want to do it…this type of quiz needs a time limit.
the problem is that it’s almost impossible to get major metros.
2 things that would help this quiz
1. is being able to zoom in (to know what cities are missing it’s almost impossible to figure out what cities are missed in major metros)
2. time bonuses for every 10 million people
Really, it’s all about strategy… don’t go for metros like LA and Chicago, it won’t probably pay off. This is as much as knowing cities as it is knowing where to place your bets on the map. It can take you some plays to realise the best path to a good score. The limited zoom has to do with labels start showing up.
10 million? That’s a little high. Look at the scoreboard. Only about 20 people have gotten above 20 million.
I’d go with either every 5 million or every 7.5 million for population and every 50 cities. That way, people would have a better chance.
Limited time is what gives this quiz its strategic element because you have to balance between cleaning high populated areas but taking more time (and knowledge) and cleaning lower population areas but faster.
I think that 20 minutes would be better for this quiz, to give people a better chance at clearing midsize metros (Phoenix, Indianapolis, Orlando, Nashville, Louisville, Columbus {OH}, Milwaukee, etc.).
