Upon clicking START you will be presented with a 7×7 grid of 49 of the 50 US states.

The object of this quiz is to choose the top 5 in the given category for the states shown in the grid. When you begin you’ll be given 25 different states plus a category to name the top 5 in, which will display just above the grid. For example, if the category says ‘Top 5 Largest Area’ you are to click on the 5 states with the largest area. If it says ‘Top 5 Smallest Max Elevation’ you are to click on the 5 states whose max elevation is the lowest. You can deselect the first or second state you chose on by re-clicking it, but when you choose the 5th state they will be submitted, removed from the grid, and you will get a score from 0-100 based on how close your set of 5 comes to the optimum set of 5 (which will be shown as a ‘Rank’ on top out of the # of possible sets of 5 for the last choice). When you’ve answered all 9 sets of 5 leaving only 4 states the quiz is over. You get a 500 points bonus for completing the sets making for a total possible score of 5000.
