World Country Demonyms

Directions

Name the English-language demonyms for each country. A demonym is a noun used to denote the natives or inhabitants of a particular place – i.e. someone from the country of Hugequiz would be a ‘Hugequizian’ (I think). No need for a final ‘s’ on those demonyms ending in an S. Some countries have multiple answers, any one will be accepted. FYI – some words like ‘Polish’ or ‘Danish’ are adjectival and not demonyms and are therefore not accepted. Think of a demonym as having the form ‘someone from this country is a _____’ where blank is the demonym.

Could Finlander be accepted? It’s less common, but used to explicitly include both ethnic Finns and Finland-Swedes.

I was surprised that “British” took but “Brit” didn’t – it seems like the opposite of Polish, Danish, etc.
