The object of this quiz is to place 20 circles of radius 1000 km on the map so that they contain the largest total population.
When you begin you'll be given a 1000-km radius circle centered on the map. Move it using the mouse and click SUBMIT. You will be given a score for that circle corresponding to the total population contained within it based on world population density at https://human-settlement.emergency.copernicus.eu/index.php. Try to complete all 20 circles with the highest total score.
Any INTERSECTING areas are only counted one time, so no population will be counted more than once.

There’s a country that heavily overperforms in my opinion, and hats off to Lonely Planet for having not one, not two, but at least FOUR cities from Australia in the Top 200… and TWO IN THE TOP 20!
There is one city in Peru on this list that could be spelled with an “s” or a “z” — would you consider adding an alternate spelling?

The fact that a city in North Korea and a city in Afghanistan are on this list makes me laugh. The first thing that pops up when I search “visit Kabul” on Google is the State Department’s warning telling me not to visit Afghanistan.
And Milan, Oslo, Palma de Mallorca, etc are missing. Why couldn’t they replace Kabul, Pyongyang, Sanaa, etc with cities that are actually safe and fun to visit.
