World 50K+ Cities Triple Blackout
DirectionsFill in the 25 squares with three (or less if less than 3 qualify) World 50K+ cities based on the categories in the top row and the geographical location given in the cell. For example, if you are looking at a cell with ‘Europe’ in its row, and ‘2+ Words’ in the column, that cell can be filled in with ‘The Hague.’ When a cell is completed it fills in green.
Occasionally a cell may not have any qualifying answer, in which case it will be filled in bright green and be a gimme. Cells with two answers left will have a very dark green background, those with one answer left more of an evergreen shade, and finally bright green for those which have been completed. Some cells with only 1 or 2 valid answers will start with a green shade corresponding to how many answers are left.
hugequiz Premium members will see missed answers in red – they will be the largest city which qualified in each cell – only one miss will be shown per incomplete cell.
Why isn’t Sudbury, Ontario, Canada accepted for Canada cities beginning with S?
It’s actually called ‘Greater Sudbury’ – I do accept Sudbury on naming quizzes but for a blackout I can only accept one spelling in terms of if it qualifies for a cell.
Please could you accept Hrodna (Grodno) and Homel (Gomel) for “Starts with H” category, as there’s no letter G (Ґ) in Belorussian.
Also I don’t understand why La Spezia counts as 2+ word city and L’Aquila does not, as L’ represents “La”.
I can only accept one letter per city on this quiz sorry. Also for ‘2 Words’ on many quizzes such as this, that means contains a space.
Thanks!
Hi, in one type you have row Europe and on the bottom row UK. So if you happen to start with UK row, you’ll get the same cities in Europe row. Of course this comment is invalid if the criteria fills out random.
yes that can happen on these quizzes, but they are random.
issues? thoughts? let me know before I expand to other topics/geographies.
Love it!
It’s great, but I wish more countries were included.
yeah I would like to but countries with fewer 50k cities have lots of blanks for their columns
