Each day at midnight US Central Time, you'll get a new set of 5 unique letters. Your goal is to form as many valid words as possible (from the official Scrabble word list) using only those letters. You don't need to use all the letters, but no others are allowed.
Example (letters: abelp): valid words include peal, babble, bell, etc.
Longer words (8+ letters) earn time bonuses. Points are awarded by word length:
- 1-letter: 1 pt
- 2-letter: 2 pts
- 3-letter: 3 pts
- 4-letter: 4 pts
- 5-letter: 5 pts
- 6-letter: 7 pts
- 7-letter: 9 pts
- 8-letter: 12 pts
- 9-letter: 16 pts
- 10-letter: 20 pts
- 11-letter: 30 pts
- 12-letter: 40 pts
- 13-letter: 50 pts
The leaderboard resets daily at midnight. Before starting, you can play a previous day's quiz by clicking on 'Play A Previous Date' and choosing an available date (in red) from the calendar.
How is fig above big?
If I had to guess it would be from academic works that have fig as short for “figure”. Same for “et” being so high as a part of “et al.”
Are you sure there are 73 3 letter words ? I had 72/73 and checked several times but there were not words without a length indicated anymore, so either there are 72 3 letter words or one of the 3 letter words has the wrong number of letters shown in the clue.
yep there are 73.
