Acclaimed Music Top 3000 Albums 10×10 Blackout

Fill in the 100 squares with albums from Acclaimed Music's Top 3000 Albums based on the categories in the top row and the genre given in the cell. For example, if you are looking at a cell with '1975-79' in its row, and 'Album Starts With B' in the column, that cell can be filled in with 'Born To Run.' First three words are accepted for longer album titles.

Occasionally a cell may not have a qualifying answer, in which case it will appear blank and be a gimme.

Number of words in a album title refers to # of words separated by a space. First letter of artist name does not include leading 'A', 'An', or 'The' - so B would include 'The Beatles.'

First letter of album name does NOT remove any leading 'A', 'An', or 'The' - so 'T' would include 'The Chronic.'

RIAA All Certified Artists By Letter – Choose Letter

First choose any letter A-Z (or '#' for artists beginning with a number). Then, name all artists beginning with that letter (or a number for '#') trying to accumulate the most total album certifications (gold = 0.5, platinum = 1 per platinum certification). Artists sorted by first name if they are named by first-last name. Last names are accepted for their answers though. Artists beginning with 'The' have leading 'The' removed to determine their letter. Total certs, certified albums, and '(The)' for artists beginning with 'The' shown.

RIAA Certified Artists 10×10 Blackout

The object of this game is to fill all 100 squares in the grid by naming artists who meet the qualifications listed across the top for the first certified album year shown in the cells. You MUST enter full artist names, last names won't cut it (makes it a bit too easy). For this quiz, the year in the cell is the year of their FIRST album which became certified by the RIAA (so at least Gold), not necessarily their first ever album. Only artists with at least a Gold certification are included on this quiz.

PLEASE NOTE: There are a small percentage of artists not included as I couldn't get the data for album dates from them all, this is mostly lesser selling artists.

For example, if the cell shows '1970s' and the column is '50+ Certs' you can answer 'ACDC.' First couple words are accepted for longer artist names.

For the 'Span' categories (i.e. '10-24 Year Span') that is the time between their first and most recent certified album release dates. For 'Starts With (Letter)' that is the first letter of the artist name (excluding any leading 'A', 'An', or 'The' - so 'The Beatles' are under 'B') as listed by the RIAA website. For artists using full names this is the first letter of their FIRST name.

Year ranges and columns are randomized each time quiz is loaded. Occasionally a cell may not have a qualifying answer in which case it will appear blank and be a gimme.
